Originally, this song was released on its own, as a single from this project, before I'd decided on "Opportunity Cost" as the title. After a disappointing overall reaction to this song, I decided to remove it from the project. Soon after, my feelings on the entire project unraveled and I shelved it. It's fitting then, for this song to bear the name it does. It has obvious romantic overtones, but I think somewhere it ends up being an appeal to everything about me I may have felt was slipping away, especially my love for what I do. I'm glad I kept it.
